Novy explained that the destruction process is carried out directly at the sacrificial animal slaughter areas (TPHK) using strict procedures. Organs unfit for consumption are destroyed by burying, burning, or dousing them with disinfectant to prevent the spread of germs and parasites.
According to her, the joint team has conducted surveillance at 325 TPHK locations across North Jakarta. Officers inspected 5,587 sacrificial animals, including 1,597 cows, 16 buffalo, 3,531 goats, and 443 sheep.
"We also urge the public to immediately report to officers if they find any suspicious meat conditions," she appealed.
Meanwhile, of the supervisors from SKHB IPB, Alifvia (23), admitted that she had been involved twice in animal sacrificial monitoring activities in the North Jakarta area.
"This supervision must not be overlooked. If diseased organs are consumed, the impact can be very dangerous to human health," she admitted.
